Where:
Lazy morning at home with Joe, lunch with a dear friend, job applications at home

So it's official: I'm bored. I love being able to sleep in, and I like that Joe and I get more time together than we used to, but I. am. bored. Other than applying for jobs, I don't really have any obligations right now. This might seem ideal, but it gets old real fast. I'm trying to see the bright side, and I've stayed pretty optimistic through this whole thing, but let's just say it's good we don't keep much alcohol in the house.

I am totally digging today's outfit, though! I have made a mini-resolution to only wear outfits that wouldn't be appropriate for the office. Kind of like, "I wouldn't be able to go in anyway, so I might as well stay home". Better than, "I can't go in so I'm wearing jean shorts instead". But seriously, I was really happy with the way this outfit came together. It was definitely one of those days where I went through a few different variations and combinations before I settled on this, but I feel really good about it. I'm also pretty psyched about the possibilities for pairing these tan knee-highs with a cardigan, big chunky platforms, and a cute dress.

Totally loving this look!
I love all the layers with the tights, shorts boots and socks!
Hugs! A job will pop up soon I'm sure.

You are simply adorable! I think we're the same age, and you've definitely inspired to dress more like a "grown up" ;-)

I totally feel you on the unemployment issue too, I hope you find a job soon! Getting to hang out around the house was fun for like a week, but I find myself vacuuming way too much, cooking every single meal, and wanting to online shop ALL the time! =/ scary stuff.

I am seriously LOVING this entire look! I've been wanting a pair of kneesocks for the longest time and this little ensemble pushed me over the edge-- I need to get a pair!
Your perfect job is out there lady, just waiting to find you :)

This is so cute! I love the pairing of the socks, tights and shorts. Groovy!

You need a new hobby! I know it gets old quick, but be sure to tackle that long list of to-dos that we all have tucked away for a rainy day.

I love the belt over the jumper. You look great sweetie. I remember rocking the boots with knee socks and tights at Electric Picnic, loved it.

Don't let the mundane days get you too down. I know from your blog that you love to be active and working but you finally have some 'me' time all to yourself.

Freaking adorable. Boots + knee socks + tights? YES! Must try... if I ever find my perfect brown boots!

Such fun! I've got a tights-and-shorts outfit brewing, too, but I think yours is far cooler.

This is a super cute look on you. I might have to try it out!

I get the unemployed thing. I missed seeing PEOPLE the most as I don't know many people where we live. I tried to get out and meet people but I failed miserably.

Bet you can make lots of jewelry and do crafty things right now!!!!

hope you find something soon-- may i suggest in the interim that you donate some time to your SPCA walking doggies or to a food bank sorting cans or something to that effect?
