You Keep Samin' When You Oughta Be Changin'

Outfit details:
Forest green tee: Old Navy
Mustard cardi: Urban Outfitters
Blazer: Ann Klein, part of this suit
Skinnies: C&A in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Boots: Rockport Ainly

Where:
Job applications at home, post office, job applications at coffeeshop, proctoring language placement exams for hilariously nervous college freshmen

So I probably love these boots more than what would be considered healthy. I have been searching for them for years. I'm surprisingly picky about my boots, and was super specific about the color/style/height/width/material that I wanted for these boots. I found these babies on ShoeTrader.com before they closed their doors for a ridiculous bargain. I bought them in July, though, so they've been spending some quality time in our closet until today, when I finally deemed it appropriate to debut them to the world. They are the most perfect boots ever, and helped me push away some of my post-layoff blues today. But I'm up to my eyes in job applications today, so I'm going to take the rest of the evening to eat some leftover pumpkin chili, listen to Simon and Garfunkel, and snuggle with Joe.

Those boots are incredible! I love them! And that blazer takes this look up to a whole new level. It adds a very pulled together chic vibe to it. You look great!

You are a CONSUMMATE layerer, you know that, right? And those boots are, indeed, fantastic.

hi i'm new to your blog! i love this outfit. i keep wondering if i could pull something like this off. the thing i'm most curious about is the thickness of the blazer, cardigan and tee. are these all lightweight items, is one thicker than the other? this could feasibly help me concoct a similar outfit from my own wardrobe.

Those boots are friggin' AMAZING! I love the color and heel height! I really like the color combo today and way to use the suit jacket in a more casual look!

Love the layering and the color combo. And you're right, those ARE fab boots! I am like you, very picky about boot style/color/texture/heel, etc etc. when I bought my black "cop" boots from Steven Madden late in the summer, I wore them with a button-down shirt and shorts!

Boot twin! Clare, these boots look just fabulous on you, too ;) I love how you're rocking them over skinny jeans... I need to try that again. Thanks for the inspiration, and can't wait to see how you style these bad boys in the months to come!

PS Love the blazer layered over the cardigan. Great colors and depth!

This has to be one of my favourite looks from you! I love the colours, and how you can see all the layers under the blazer.
Plus the boots are perfect!
